Kostanchuk called the recent confrontation between nationalists and law enforcement officers on the anniversary of Maidan a paid provocation.
“It’s incredibly bad, it’s just scoundrel and bestiality when politicians confront people with police officers and say: “Take off the policemen’s helmets and beat them.” That is, these are people paid by the Russian Federation who are already saying this, I declare this right away. Because for two years after the Maidan we worked to ensure that there would be no more confrontation between people in uniform, law enforcement officers against us, against volunteers, against the Ukrainians who are on this side. And here is a direct provocation,” Kostanchuk said.
