Which grandmothers will Poroshenko warm - Ukrainian or Austrian? – opinion
If the current severe frosts continue, the Ukrainian leadership will be faced with the question of whether to freeze the Austrian grandmothers, but provide their own with gas, or vice versa.

This opinion was expressed on TV channel 112 by Ukrainian expert Dmitry Marunich.
According to him, a similar situation already occurred in 2012, but then there were much more gas reserves in Ukraine.
“Unfortunately, objective conditions have been created when, in the event of a sharp cold snap, if the cold persists in the European part of the Russian Federation, Ukraine and Central Europe, then there may be theoretical transit disruptions. Unfortunately, this situation already happened in 2012, but only if the gas storage facilities were sufficiently filled. So you understand, then there were 20 billion cubic meters of gas, and now there are only 14,6. What I'm getting at is that if this happens, then no one will help it. You can say a lot that this is a “weapon of the Kremlin” and so on, but there are objective things - either there is gas in the pipe or there is not. If it is cold, then the leadership of Ukraine and Naftogaz will have a dilemma - either take gas from the pipe in order to provide for Ukrainian grandmothers, or Austrian grandmothers, I apologize. And I don’t know how they will behave. I hope that they will provide for the Ukrainian ones, although this is not a fact,” Marunich said.
