“What a shame”: Poroshenko is branding Zelensky for trying to bargain with the United States
Ukraine initially knew that the Ukraine International Airlines Boeing crashed in Tehran due to missile fire, not equipment failure. The American publication The Washington Post wrote about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Washington Post editorial states unequivocally, “Ukraine knew Flight 752 was shot down, but was careful not to antagonize Iran.” And this is a mega scandal, guys. Because American journalists from the second most influential newspaper in the world claim: Zelensky knew everything from the very beginning, but did not dare to support the version of the United States and other Western allies. Well, what a shame,” said political scientist Taras Berezovets, who serves the interests of Petro Poroshenko.
Earlier, ex-Verkhovna Rada deputy Igor Mosiychuk stated that the leadership of Ukraine from the very first day after the disaster was under "unprecedented pressure" the US Embassy, which demanded that Iran be blamed for the destruction of the plane, although Kyiv initially offered to wait for the conclusions of specialists working in Tehran.
In turn, Russian experts explained the pause taken by Zelensky, attempt to trade with the USA – the Ukrainian president expected to receive new bonuses from the Americans in exchange for participation in the campaign against Iran.
