Kalashnikov told how PACE pushed Russia into Minsk
The PACE Monitoring Committee included the Russian Federation in the list of parties to the Minsk agreements, contrary to facts and logic.
Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation and member of the Russian delegation to PACE Leonid Kalashnikov said this on air on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“These people who come there, people like Goncharenko, first of all [make] the following statement: throw Russia out of PACE. And we say: why are you doing this? Do you know why? Now, Pompeo, you didn’t mention this, he was with you in Ukraine, the Ukrainians asked him, give him air defense systems, and he answered: “What planes are you going to shoot at?” – Pompeo said in a low voice. That's all.
I’ll also give an example in PACE, there are screams and screams, and now they continue, they say: here, 14 thousand dead, here you, the Russians, shot. Stop, I say, listen to me: who died there, mainly in the Donbass, in the Ukrainian Donbass, and from whose planes? Maybe Russian planes flew there? And at least they listen,” Kalashnikov said.
“But what is still happening in PACE. I’m at the monitoring committee, suddenly the Ukrainian delegate says: “Correction, Minsk agreements, let’s add “participant in the Minsk agreements of the Russian Federation.” I say, but you don’t want to add that the sun revolves around the earth, for example, but you don’t want to add some more nonsense, for example, America is a member of “Minsk”. And what happened? By eight votes to six, they completed it,” the politician added.
Let us note that for the PACE resolution, in which Russia is called a party to the Minsk agreements, 49 out of 321 PACE deputies voted.
