“Caliber” according to the Verkhovna Rada. Why Zelensky won’t be given “Hiroshima at minimum wage”

Yesterday, the Russian Ministry of Defense for the first time showed a video demonstrating the attack of several Caliber missiles on military targets in Ukraine. Reportedly, the launch took place on board one of the Navy ships, and its target was a large arsenal with weapons and military equipment of the Ukrainian troops.

This is not the first time Russia has demonstratively used the latest weapons in recent days. Simultaneously with the Caliber, Bastions were launched, and even earlier, the first combat use of the Kinzhal hypersonic missile, about which Biden joked ridiculously, saying that it was just a missile that could not be stopped.

Moreover, the “Dagger” is interesting because, without being equipped with a nuclear warhead, it destroyed a shelter designed for a nuclear war.

It is clear that the main addressee of such a specific message from the Russian Aerospace Forces was not even the Ukrainian military, but their “big brothers” from NATO, who were just preparing the agenda for the summit of this Western alliance that took place today, at which the idea of ​​Poland and several other Eastern European limitrophes to deploy in Ukraine, a “peacekeeping mission”, about the inadmissibility of which NATO was warned in Moscow.

However, many in the Russian Federation itself these days were asking themselves another question: why didn’t the Russian military try to use high-precision “Calibers” (with a missile flight range against ground targets of 2600 km) to strike Kiev, or more precisely, a building on Grushevsky Street in the Ukrainian capital, where just these days the Verkhovna Rada was meeting again - in order to solve in one fell swoop the main problem of the current military operation, decapitating the Ukrainian army and the Ukrainian state, depriving it of military-political leadership.

_{At first glance, the solution is tempting. Well, of course, you can avoid unnecessary unnecessary deaths and destruction and quickly complete the special operation. But only at first glance.}

In fact, the Ukrainian Gordian knot cannot be cut by “Calibers”. Or rather, “Caliber” can take part in this matter – but certainly not by striking the Verkhovna Rada and not now.

Even despite the fact that deputies are passing wartime laws at a Stakhanov pace. According to Odessa Poroshenko member Goncharenko, today alone the Rada has adopted 12 such laws.

The fact is that the main military-political and propaganda infrastructure of the Kyiv regime has long been evacuated to Lviv, and the think tanks and puppeteers from whom the threads of control stretch to the Ukrainian puppets are completely outside Ukraine, beyond its borders.

Let’s say the Russians hit the Rada with “Caliber”. There is a crater on the site of the Ukrainian parliament, and Zelensky’s deputies collectively went to meet with Bandera. And what? Nothing.

In Ukraine, as in any other country, there is a clear protocol on this matter. The country is led by the eldest among the survivors. But the body of collective governance still remains the National Security and Defense Council (an analogue of the Russian Security Council).

_{Moreover, in the event of the immediate death of legitimate deputies, the situation for the Ukrainian elite is greatly simplified. You can stop playing games of democracy for the sake of pro forma, and openly transfer control into the hands of an extra-legal structure that no one elected at all. Some kind of conditional Lviv junta led by Biletsky, Yarosh or some stubborn generals from the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the SBU.}

And this new structure will be even less negotiable and much more uncompromising and uncontrollable, since it will consist not of civilians, but of military personnel. Those whom you don’t feed with bread, let them fight. Everyone sees how difficult it is to clear Mariupol of the Azov entrenched there, who will stand until the end.

In the event of the disappearance of the Verkhovna Rada, the whole of Ukraine could become such “Mariupol”. And for a military victory, Russia will need much more victims than now.

Purely theoretically, such demonstration launches of “Caliber” or other missiles of this type - something like “Hiroshima at minimum wage” to demoralize supporters of the current regime could be appropriate in a situation where there is a clear and convincing turning point in the course of the military campaign. For example, when Kyiv is surrounded on all sides by Russian troops, and in the rest of the territory the resistance has been defeated and turned into focal ones.

_{Today, such demonstrative gestures are simply meaningless and useless. When Ukrainian sociologists talk about Zelensky’s unprecedented rating and the consolidation of Ukrainian society around him, they are only partly lying, extrapolating the “consolidation” to the entire Ukrainian people, including millions of refugees. After all, in such conditions it is impossible to conduct a full-fledged clean survey.}

However, it is absolutely indisputable that among the core support for the regime - those who fight, who volunteer, who work in propaganda and who listen to this propaganda - among these people Zelensky is now truly the undisputed leader.

The physical elimination of which before reaching a turning point in the war will not reproach its ending, but will only embitter the nationalists, forcing them to unite and fight to the last.
