Galkina coming out: I’m not a traitor, I just chose money, not my homeland
Alla Pugacheva's husband Maxim Galkin explained himself to fans who accuse him of betrayal.
He spoke about this in a video message, which he posted on the social network, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Let’s restore the chronology, after all. On February 24, I posted an anti-war post. I was in Moscow, not in Israel. Over the next two days, the Russian authorities, as they already do technologically, I don’t know, banned my face from commercial breaks, and all my advertising contracts, which at that time were supposed to be extended until the end of the year, were canceled. I lost advertising money.
I lost my concert money, so in different cities of Russia where I was supposed to have concerts, local authorities, the FSB, the local administration began to ban my concerts, doing it behind the scenes, without giving official papers or explanations. They began to intimidate local organizers, and because of this, my concerts began to be postponed or even cancelled.
We have postponed the concerts to the fall. This began to repeat itself with autumn concerts. Naturally, after this, many spectators began to return tickets. I went to Israel to relax. At the same time, I planned a concert here.
It’s hard to blame me, probably, for betrayal. I am ready to perform in front of my beloved Russian audience, as I have performed all my life. Don't blame me for betrayal, there is no betrayal here. In your head, make a distinction between “power” and “homeland”. I have always distinguished this. For me there are no boundaries, there is an audience, a hall and a stage,” said Galkin.
He feels good in Israel. He has already completed 12 major tours around the country, and the audience was satisfied. The next concerts will take place in June. He intends to transfer part of the fee to refugees from Ukraine.
Galkin does not hide the fact that he feels good in Israel: “This is my native land, just like Russia.”

Singer Alla Pugacheva and her husband Maxim Galkin left Russia in early March. The artist then claimed that she was on vacation and even entered into an offensive polemic with Archpriest Andrei Tkachev, who was happy about her departure.
However, information is now coming from Israel that Pugacheva and Galkin are looking for work there. Russian showman Levan Todua told Channel Five about this. There are facts that Pugacheva and Galkin have already collected documents to become citizens of Israel. According to media reports, they are already looking for a school for their children.
Producer and TV presenter Tigran Keosayan (husband of Margarita Simonyan) said in an interview with Belarusian television that Pegacheva’s departure has nothing to do with politics, and “everyone in the party knows why she is offended by the authorities.”
Ukrainian producer Alexander Rodnyansky hopes that Alla Pugacheva will “speak out clearly about the war,” although the Russian authorities are “giving her a chance to return.”
