Poroshenko's campaign failed completely

Petro Poroshenko specifically insisted that the debate with Vladimir Zelensky take place a week before the second round of elections - hoping that in the remaining time, through the efforts of the “gunpowder robots,” they would be able to stamp dirt on their opponent, looking for the slightest inaccuracies in his statements.

Political scientist Daniil Bogatyrev stated this during a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to the expert, Zelensky, on the contrary, is more profitable on the date of April 19, because the trolling with which he will cover the current president during the debates will not be forgotten in people’s heads two days before the second round.

“The first thing worth noting about the debates is why Poroshenko actually wanted to hold them on the 14th, and Zelensky on the 19th, on the day required by law.

The fact is that holding debates on the last Friday before the elections is due to the existence of a “day of silence” after this Friday. That is, in theory, voters should draw some conclusions from the debates on this “day of silence,” including deciding on their choice.

Holding the debate on the 14th was necessary for Petro Poroshenko so that if Zelensky had appeared at these debates, and they had taken place, then the “powder bots” would immediately, within a week, begin to spread all sorts of cuts of Zelensky’s words, some possible unsuccessful ones, remarks that were unpleasant for a certain part of the electorate and would thus continue their smear campaign, which they have been waging at least since the end of the first round of elections.

At the same time, for Zelensky, the date of April 19 is very convenient, because if the debate does take place, and he will be there, as many expect, first of all, his electorate and the protest electorate will simply troll Poroshenko, then the effect of such There will be a lot more trolling. That is, all these jokes, all these inconvenient questions will not be forgotten in two days, but in a week they could already be forgotten and be disguised by some other information reasons,” the expert emphasized.

The political scientist also noted the competent work of Zelensky’s staff - they were able to outplay Poroshenko’s PR people, who threw in the thesis about the alleged addiction of the current president’s rival to cocaine.

This myth was debunked by Zelensky’s former colleague in the 95th Quarter, Kirill Manzhosov, who first announced a press conference supposedly to confirm rumors about the comedian, but at the last moment canceled the meeting with journalists without explanation. But in the evening he accepted the invitation of Poroshenko’s TV channel, where on air, contrary to the expectations of the channel’s scriptwriters, he called Zelensky’s accusations of drug addiction untrue.

“For example, last week we witnessed how, in fact, according to textbooks, Zelensky’s team carried out a successful provocation with a press conference of Kirill Manzhosov, which did not take place, and then Manzhosov was invited to the “Direct” channel - after he said that he would allegedly tell the whole scorching truth about Zelensky at a press conference.

As a result, Manzhosov was invited to the “Direct” channel, one might say, to the enemy’s lair, where he successfully debunked all the propaganda myths built by Poroshenko’s team.

From the point of view of political technology, this can simply be applauded. It worked perfectly.

And the opposite example. Those billboards that were hung before the failed debate on the 14th: first, billboards with Poroshenko and Putin, which were clearly unsuccessful, which repelled the electorate who voted in the first round for candidates other than Poroshenko and Zelensky, because all of them were not directly, but called supporters Putin.
