RIA Novosti reports this.
Since the summer of 2014, the United States has been conducting an operation with the support of allies, including Canada. They are limited to air strikes on IS positions and support for the so-called “moderate opposition” in Syria.
Speaking at his first news conference as head of government, Trudeau said he had discussed the topic with US President Barack Obama and informed him of proposed changes to Canada's participation in the operation.
