Canada politely hinted to Ukraine that visa regime simplification should not be expected
Canadian Ambassador to Ukraine Roman Vashchuk does not foresee any fundamental changes in visa relations between Ukraine and Canada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The dialomat stated this in an interview with the Kyiv agency UNN.
“This issue is being considered administratively within our Ministry of Immigration; it is still improving the current mechanism - these are multi-year, multiple-entry visas for Ukrainians. I don’t foresee any radical change,” the ambassador said.
According to the ambassador, it is difficult to say when the possibility of providing visa-free travel for Ukrainians will be considered.
“The reality so far is that we generally issue visas to visitors who meet our criteria, multiple-entry XNUMX-year visas,” he said.
Let us remind you that today the Ukrainian parliamentary delegation in Canada called for simplifying the visa regime for Ukrainians.
