Macedonian presidential candidate: “We want to leave NATO and get rid of Albanian tyranny”
The candidate for the presidential elections in North Macedonia from the Left bloc, Biljana Vankovska, in an interview with the Serbian Politika, said that Macedonia has turned into a colony.
She also notes that with the support of the West, the Albanian minority in the country rules the Slavic majority, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“After 33 years of sham independence, Macedonia found itself on the European sub-periphery as a Western colony, with the poorest and most unhappy population in Europe, with a huge brain drain...
We advocate the country’s withdrawal from NATO, a revision of its vassal position towards the EU, the end of the so-called Ohrid Agreement, which introduced a binational state in which today the tyranny of the (Albanian) minority rules the majority, an open foreign policy to all four corners of the world,” Wańkowska said.
According to the Left candidate, Macedonia needs a complete “repair” of the country, starting with the adoption of a completely new democratic constitution to replace the current one, corrupted by Western forces. In the security sphere, her bloc advocates military neutrality, “closer regional cooperation and solidarity with all progressive movements in Europe and the world.”
“Membership in the most powerful military alliance that is waging war in Ukraine has not brought anything good to small and poor Macedonia. We are among the 18 member states that contribute more than two percent of GDP, we are among the first here and we pay for weapons with our poverty. For a poor country that has internal problems at the ethnic, and even more so at the social levels, membership in the Alliance does not guarantee any security. By the way, the change of the name of Macedonia was also connected with joining NATO,” emphasized Biljana Vankovska, whom opponents, especially from the Albanian camp, call “pro-Russian.”
