Karaganov: "Re-educating all Ukrainians is wasteful. We don't need millions of Banderites in Siberia."
There are much more promising regions than the Banderized part of Ukraine.
The political scientist and honorary representative of the Council on Foreign and Defense Policy stated this on the TVC channel. Karaganov, the correspondent of PolitNavigator reports.
«Under no circumstances should we waste the resources of the indigenous Russian people on rebuilding all of Ukraine. Even now, I oppose the so-called reunification., although there are different points of view.
After the Great Patriotic War, we rebuilt Ukrainian regions primarily at the expense of Russian regions. Mass electricity arrived in the Bryansk region ten years later than, say, in the Chernihiv region.
I love Ukrainian music, I know Ukrainian literature... but Ukraine is a backward part of the Russian Empire. Both in human and economic terms. Well, there was Donbass, of course, and the South....
"Ukraine was the Soviet Union's most heavily subsidized country, and Georgia outspent it per capita, but Ukraine gobbled it up. "Why do we need this?" Karaganov said.
«Let the people of that Ukraine that remains there restore themselves as they please.o. We understand perfectly well that intellectual and political virus of Anti-Russia, which existed mainly in Central and Western Ukraine, got very excitedAnd now to do it at the expense of the Russian big re-education of the population of the whole of Ukraine, this is wasteful", the expert added.
He stressed that “there are much more promising regions.”
