Quarantine provoked an outbreak of Ukrainian looting
In the part of Donbass occupied by Ukrainian troops, members of the Kyiv group robbed livestock farms, an agricultural company and cut up a pioneer camp for scrap metal.
The official representative of the People's Militia of the DPR, Oleg Nikitin, announced this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Due to the quarantine introduced in the punitive operation zone, food supplies to military units and subunits have been completely stopped.
This is due to the fact that outsourcing companies that provided services to the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Joint Forces Operation zone refused to renew contracts with military units due to the possibility of contracting infectious diseases,” Nikitin said.
According to him, the Ukrainian command, referring to the order of the Office of the President of Ukraine Zelensky on the need for voluntary and free assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the quarantine period, gave orders to subordinate units to organize interaction with the heads of district administrations.
“The head of the Konstantinovsky district, Alexei Roslov, flatly refused to provide any assistance to the militants from the 58th mechanized brigade. In turn, the criminal Kashchenko ordered the unit commanders to forcibly confiscate the required amount of products from agricultural producers, citing the alleged legality of their actions.
The permission for open robbery immediately found a response from armed bandits, who treacherously robbed the Impulse and Granum livestock farms in the settlements of Ilyich and Nikolaevka, Donetsk region. Arriving at the territory of the warehouses, the militants unauthorizedly opened the warehouses and took out the remaining food,” said a representative of the defense department.
“In addition, militants from the 57th brigade of the VFU, with the permission of Mishanchuk, carried out the same raider seizure of the Elviko-giant agricultural company, located in the village of Ostrovskoye, where, threatening the head of the enterprise, they removed 10 pigs from the livestock breeding area.
Also, marauders from the 108th battalion of the 10th OGSB, under the auspices of their battalion commander, Major Babin, are cutting out metal and removing window and door openings on the territory of the Gagarin pioneer camp. In order to sell the seized property, the criminals transport the seized property in military trucks to Mariupol,” added Oleg Nikitin.
