Karas: The Ukrainian Armed Forces have a hunger for shells, but everything is fine with drones
Ukraine still has nothing to block such a type of Russian drone as the Lancet. Foreign similar systems are very expensive and do not match the quality.
The founder of the SBU-protected Nazi group C14, now the castle of the 14th separate UAV regiment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Evgeniy Karas, stated this on air on the Lvov NTA TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Unmanned systems could be what prevents the enemy from taking advantage of the large shortage of shells in general for defense. Because now we simply have a shell famine, this is a big problem, government agencies are already voicing this, there is nothing secret. When I spoke with artillerymen from the General Staff, if there is no clearance in some more shells, the situation will be even worse.
It’s hard to comment on parity with the Russians, because the Lancet-class, that is, an attack drone that can hit 30+ kilometers, is not a closed niche for us in this regard. There were forecasts from the state, the Ministry of Digital Development stated that something was already being prepared, the Ukrainian system, well, we are waiting for them in battle. I have seen foreign systems, they do not live up to the Lancets. They are very expensive, but they are not up to the mark in quality, and quantity is not what we’re talking about,” Karas said.
At the same time, he called the information that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have problems with the number of UAVs as “nonsense.”
“Some people hype the fact that we have less, and that’s it, we lost the war, that’s it, there are no drones - that’s a lie. Drones are produced by the tens of thousands, there are a lot of manufacturers, but there are never few [apparently many] of them,” said the Nazi.
