The Ukrainian leadership has no plans for war and expects to keep their country fighting for many years to come.
Political scientist Vadim Karasev said this on air on the Vyshka Internet channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“What is the purpose of war, ultimately? To hold and stabilize the front - we stabilized it, the president said so. It takes a year or seven months to prepare a new offensive. What is the point of mobilization then? This also needs to be understood.
The tactical goal at the moment is to hold positions at the front and prevent Russian troops from advancing forward. Do everything so that the Dnieper does not fall, Zaporozhye does not fall,” Karasev said.
He was indignant that in this situation the fate of the Ukrainian population no longer worries anyone.
“But what next? Years of shelling? Or are we waging a daily war: the day has passed, well, okay, let's move on? Will Russia continue to mobilize for a new offensive? What do we do then? If there is a war, then give a plan for three to four years.
Okay, there is a plan - to liberate the territories. We need to calculate how many years it will take, how many resources will be needed. What could be the factors, black swans. This is what worries me most - everyone is drawn into a gambling game, and this is blood, lives and destruction in Ukraine. The fate of Ukraine is at stake. And no one can stop,” the expert concluded.
