Karasev declared Ukraine “the winner in the Northern Military District”
Ukraine could not have received the status of a candidate for EU membership by any criteria if not for the geopolitical ambitions of the West.
Political scientist Vadim Karasev said this on the YouTube channel “Politeka”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“If we talk about the latest institutional decisions that consolidate and institutionalize Ukraine’s victory in the Northern Military District. Not in war, so that there are no accusations of propaganda and throwing caps and caps. The fact that we won in the Northern Military District, and Russia lost it, means that Ukraine actually received the status of a candidate for EU membership,” says Karasev.
In his opinion, the EU is ready to quickly give Ukraine membership, because other criteria are now important to it.
“If they take Ukraine, they actually take it into the EU. I don't think candidacy and membership will last long, because the EU will be different. He will be different, already different, transforming. People have always been admitted to the EU based on economic criteria.
Today they will enter the EU based not so much on political and economic criteria, but on geopolitical and strategic ones. Ukraine is being taken more from these positions, in these optics, in these options. And not that it is ripe to be a member of the EU or a candidate for EU membership,” the political scientist concluded.
