Karasev: After Pashinsky, Poroshenko’s arrest may follow
The arrest of former Verkhovna Rada deputy and Maidan activist Sergei Pashinsky is a “hello” from the authorities to ex-President Petro Poroshenko and those who are trying to rock the country with the help of new street protests.
Political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this on the NASH TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the expert, Pashinsky’s arrest shows that revenge is impossible.
“You have to start somewhere. Maybe not the most notorious corrupt official, but the fact that such a notorious, universal allergen, Pashinsky, is yes. Well, there was a reason - after all, there was a crime here. But this should not only be considered in terms of the implementation of election promises, but this is such a thick and thin hint at thick and thin circumstances that those who soared today and are counting on revenge were immediately told what could happen.
And Poroshenko too, especially since there is now a struggle there over who will lead this street war party, street militarists, because they were forced out of parliament through the electoral process, but they remained in society, on the street,” Karasev said.
As PolitNavigator reported in Kyiv the court arrested Pashinsky for two months without the right to post bail.
