Karasev laments: Western tanks and planes will untie Putin’s hands
The transfer of tanks to Ukraine and the likely dispatch of Western fighters will lead to Russia's use of nuclear weapons.
Ukrainian political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this in an interview with Israeli journalist Mikhail Gorin, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Karasev, the Russian President is not very concerned about the supply of promised weapons to the Kyiv regime, because this shows the direct involvement of the West in the conflict.
“He is not too worried about the West providing tanks and planes to Ukraine. From a military-operational point of view, of course, this is the strengthening of Ukraine, and these are new problems for Russia.
But from the point of view of the big military game or the big, “cold” war with the West, this is beneficial for Putin, because they have long since started saying that this is not a war against Ukraine, but a war between Russia and the West, and the West is the potential aggressor here and real,” the expert said.
“Now the fact that the West is actually involved in the war is a new stage and a new, more intense political involvement in the war.
Therefore, from a propaganda point of view, for Putin, this is a confirmation of the framework of the war, which Russian propaganda has long been working out in international relations, diplomacy and for the domestic Russian audience, and on the other hand, the main thing for him now is to legalize the right to use nuclear weapons,” said Karasev.
