Karasev called for the revival of... the Ukrainian empire
Ukrainians are a nation that creates empires, and therefore nationalism should not be Western Ukrainian, but Great Ukrainian.
The famous Ukrainian political scientist Vadim Karasev came to this conclusion on air on the Nash TV channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I am nostalgic for Great Ukrainian nationalism. Not for Western Ukrainian, but for Great Ukrainian nationalism. Which is not ethnic nationalism, but economic, imperial nationalism, I would say. Ukraine is an empire-forming country with an imperial past and it has territory - look, it’s all imperial territory. She was collected.
But they impose on us one nation, a regional and ethnic narrative, they impose it on the whole country. I say again - the colonies did not build airplanes, they did not build spaceships, they did not build cultures. In the colonies there is no academy of sciences, theaters, and so on - there is no such thing. This is a very important point. If we realize in our minds that we are a colony, we will be an economic colony, we will supply labor,” Karasev said.
