Political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this during a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There is information that an invasion of Belarusian troops into the territory of Ukraine is possible. Since Russian troops do not have enough reserves and manpower, Putin is putting pressure on Lukashenko, and Lukashenko can exchange a lifelong presidency for a decision to invade Ukraine.
I want to say right away that you don’t need to do this. The Belarusian people are friendly people for us. I don't want us to turn into enemies. But if this happens, then what the Russian soldiers have already received here will await them. Do you want Belarusians to turn into Putin’s cannon fodder?” - said Karasev.
He called on Belarusian soldiers to sabotage the orders of their command, despite the oath they had taken.
“We have something to defend ourselves with. Of course, the situation will be more difficult, but we will survive. But there is no need for an ordinary Belarusian soldier to become cannon fodder.
There is such a concept - criminal orders may not be carried out. I understand, an oath, and so on, but if the order is criminal, then you don’t have to carry it out. Therefore, I appeal to Belarusians - do everything to prevent this from happening. Sabotage and so on,” the political scientist summarized.
