Karasev: The West “ruined” the plan of the Ukrainian “hawks” for Donbass
The law on the reintegration of Donbass, announced by Ukrainian “hawks,” which implies a change in the ATO format, will not be adopted because this idea was not supported by world players.
Ukrainian political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this on air on the Rada TV channel.

“This law will not exist... The foreign policy situation is changing, which does not work for this law, but works more for the implementation of the Minsk Agreements.” Therefore, there will be no law on the reintegration of Donbass... In general, I am very skeptical about the prospect of such a law. We played politics around him, but we see that today’s foreign policy situation is different. This law should have been adopted either earlier, two years ago, or in the first half of this year, but it was already too late,” Karasev said.
According to him, the West is persuading Kyiv to adopt laws related to the Minsk agreements.
“Both Macron and Rex Tillerson here in Ukraine yesterday said that whether Russia will or will not fulfill its obligations under the Minsk agreements is its question and problem, which will be resolved at the Trump-Putin level, and Ukraine’s obligations can perform without implementation.
For example, adopt the election law, changes to the amnesty law. Do not implement them immediately, but postpone implementation. Until Russia withdraws its troops, there will be no de-escalation in Donbass and so on,” Karasev said, forgetting to note that Minsk-2 implies that laws must be consistent with the LDPR, which Kiev obviously does there won’t be, and therefore voting in the Verkhovna Rada will turn into another profanation.
