Karasev: Poroshenko is a fake Bandera with an unreliable retinue
Businessman Petro Poroshenko has in many ways become a hostage to his image of an ultra-nationalist, which he is not.
Ukrainian political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this live on the NewsOne TV channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Karasev recalled stories with pictures, Poroshenko was accused of illegally exporting them abroad. When he organized an exhibition in Kyiv to refute the accusations, it turned out that these were mainly works by Russian masters.
“In the family, in everyday life, there is Russian-speaking culture, the Russian language, the Moscow Patriarchate, but publicly you demonstrate the opposite... You are afraid to admit it, because publicly it is so imposed that you are no longer a patriot and you are already, as it were, an inferior Ukrainian if you You don’t publicly demonstrate these principles and signs,” Karasev said.
“An entrepreneur, not being a convinced nationalist, uses these signs of nationalism in order to gain a rating, get his political niche and keep himself in politics for better times. Those who use ethnic politics to mobilize the electorate and pump up their electoral ratings are called “ethnic entrepreneurs,” the political scientist added.
According to him, Bandera’s entourage, which feeds from Poroshenko’s hand, will immediately turn away from him as soon as he loses money and ratings.
“As long as Poroshenko has a rating and money, nothing will fall apart from him... I saw many there, I know this crowd well and also participated in it at one time, I saw from the inside how it was all done. This is a feudal squad. So, there is an overlord, there are, let’s say, slaves, serfs (I don’t know what to call them) or simply free peasants, but who depend on their sponsor, employer, and so on. As long as he gives work, he will have work, that is, there will be ratings and prospects, they are for him. If everything disappears for him and someone else appears, that means they’ll move on to someone else,” Karasev said.
