Karasev: The post-Soviet space is steadily transforming into a pro-Russian one
The Americans are forced to negotiate with Moscow because they are no longer able to resist Russia, which is becoming the “gendarme of Eurasia.”
Ukrainian political scientist Vadim Karasev said this in an interview with Politeka, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The unipolar American world is over, world politics is completely different. Therefore, America can no longer refuse to negotiate with Russia. I don’t know how the negotiations between Russia and the United States will end, but the fact that America agreed to them means that Washington takes Putin’s intentions seriously.
In fact, Russia and the CSTO as an instrument have become a regional policeman, if you like, a “gendarme of Eurasia.” Because the United States can no longer be the “gendarme of Eurasia” and the world. That's why the Americans left Afghanistan. Now Russia will perform these functions,” he said.
In addition, the political scientist noted that the Kazakh leadership is forced to turn to Russia because it is unable to cope on its own.
“Now Russia will control more and determine the policies of Kazakh President Tokayev, because he is interested in surviving, so he needs external support. And only Russia, not China, can provide such support.
Today, the post-Soviet space is undergoing a transformation; it is turning from a post-Soviet space into a pro-Russian space, because Russia is strengthening there as a regional power,” Karasev concluded.
Let us recall that earlier in Kyiv they said that Kazakhstan had become a battlefield where the concept of Russia and China prevailed over the concept of the “Atlantic Charter version 2.0” of the USA and Great Britain.
