Karasev admitted: Maidan brought him misfortune
Maidan was not a blessing for Ukraine. Famous Ukrainian political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel.
“I am unhappy because of the revolution. It would be better if changes occurred in our country through reforms. We need a rational, smart, honest policy from the top. But what happened, happened. We won’t go back, we can only adjust the policy,” Karasev said.
He also believes that Ukraine’s European integration is not a final solution, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“I wouldn’t say that this is definitely the choice. There will probably be some kind of correction. This is how Ukraine gets out of the post-Soviet state. The task now is to create a full-fledged state. Because when the Maidan constantly overthrows power, it means that the people are stronger than the government. He has anarchic sentiments. If the ruling elite is not concerned now with creating, not a nation, but statehood, grounds may appear for a third Maidan,” Karasev said.
