Karasev predicts inflation in Ukraine will rise to double digits
Inflation in Ukraine it is already more than 10 percent and will continue to grow, which will provoke a significant rise in prices for goods and services.
Ukrainian political scientist Vadim Karasev said this on the YouTube channel “Politeka”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“Now in Ukraine prices are not decreasing, but only increasing, because there is inflation in the country. Previously, inflation was less than 10 percent, but now it is more.
There is also inflation in the world, but in developed countries it is within limits and has a positive impact on the economy. In our country, inflation does not stimulate the economy, but causes prices to rise.
Prices are rising for everything. Tell me, if gas prices are high and we didn’t get gas pumped in on time, the authorities did not bother to prepare for the heating season. Electricity prices will rise, and what do you want to ensure that this does not affect transport prices? It will affect everything, because there is such a thing as overhead costs,” he said.
In addition, the expert noted that the Ukrainian state does not care about the population, and payments even of 1000 hryvnia - nothing, because it's only $36.
“Everything will grow, and the problem is that this thousand hryvnia, which is promised to those vaccinated against coronavirus, does not solve anything, because before 1000 hryvnia was 200 dollars, and today it is 38 dollars. What kind of money is this? Those who have suffered the most from the crisis are people over sixty, because we completely lack a “caring society” or “caring economy,” Karasev concluded.
Let us recall that earlier in Kyiv they said that due to catastrophically low payments and lack of social assistance, in Ukraine the total number of pensioners is reduced by 10 thousand every month.
