Karasev curses the West: They don’t want the Ukrainian Armed Forces to march on Kherson
Kiev has two weeks to storm Kherson before the cold weather sets in, but the Western “allies”, mired in politics, show no desire to support Ukraine in the offensive.
Ukrainian political scientist Vadim Karasev said this on air on the Politeka channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In Astana two weeks ago, what did Putin say? Why did he start the war, in his words? They didn’t give water to Crimea, we had to provide water to Crimea with military force for the Crimeans. That's all, this is the goal, in the current situation, realizing that they do not have the strength to do more, the West will not allow them to defeat Ukraine as a whole. But they understand that the West’s strength is also running out. And, probably, they are counting on the fact that our strength is exhausted.
For now, of course, we have a reserve - two weeks, before the cold weather, before the elections to the US Congress, before the G-20 - in order to take Kherson or break through the defense line in the Melitopol direction. What if not?” he worried.
“By the way, the West is in no hurry to help us much. Let's break through - good. If we don’t break through, it will freeze, and that’s it. Did they give us modern tanks? Not allowed. Did they give you planes? Not allowed. That is, they don't want to. It's not that they don't want to. They are not really investing in Ukraine going on a big offensive,” Karasev was indignant.
