Karasev: Trump will lift sanctions on Russia and force them to negotiate on Donbass
After the final formation of the administration of the new US President Donald Trump, sanctions will be lifted from Russia, and Kyiv will have to negotiate the Donbass with Moscow.
Director of the Institute of Global Strategies Vadim Karasev stated this at a press conference in the Ukrainian capital.

At the same time, he doubted that the United States would still recognize the Russian status of Crimea.
“If he says that “the problems are not ours there, in Eastern Europe, in the Donbass, in the Middle East, but if where there are problems, we cannot solve them ourselves, then we need to negotiate. This is yours, this is mine. It's your win, it's your loss."
The sanctions will be lifted, you need to understand. Crimea will remain an island.
Donbass needs to be resolved in the Normandy format, or we will have to formalize a bilateral agreement with Russia, but not on the terms of capitulation, but on the terms of compromise. This is the best option, when Russia and I resolve these issues one on one,” Karasev said.
