Ukraine will begin to actually implement the Minsk agreements, which provide for the beginning of federalization - granting special status to Donbass, only after Vladimir Zelensky’s team manages to demonstrate success in the economy. Political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this on air on the Nash TV channel.
At the same time, the Ukrainian expert forgot to explain how it is possible to improve the standard of living in the context of the continuation of the war and daily deaths at the front, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We still have to “sell” to society so that people accept this version of the world... If people feel that there is a real level of fight against corruption, that corruption is decreasing, that life is improving, that in general power, this power really serves the people, and has not come master the schemes, then you can “sell” it all.
Look, we are moving towards peace, does this make you feel better or worse? Easier. This means this is the right path for Ukraine. And if this is the same as it has been for 10-15 years, and you are “selling” peace, then it is clear that you will always be suspected that you made this peace for yourself, and not for Ukraine.
Therefore, if the authorities manage to improve the overall situation in the country - provide jobs, increase incomes, fight corruption... then this can be explained to the public quite calmly, in a more or less routine manner,” Karasev said.
