The Samara District Court of Dnepropetrovsk decided to place for compulsory treatment in a regional psychiatric hospital a man who tried to kill himself because he heard Putin’s voice.

According to doctors, the patient complained that the voice of the Russian leader in his head was convincing the man to accept the Constitution. As a result, the man tried to kill himself.
Doctors note that the development of mental illness was facilitated by the fact that the man abused alcohol heavily. Since the patient poses a threat to himself and others when free, he was asked to be placed on compulsory treatment. The court granted the request.
