Liberal and extremist Garry Kasparov, who emigrated from the Russian Federation, said this on air on the Free Russia Forum channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Biden proudly said that we would defend every inch of NATO territory. The rocket hit here not just an inch deep, but six kilometers deep. Yes, okay, let’s assume we accepted this version: the Ukrainian missile got there by mistake. But this means that such possibilities must be ruled out in the future, and the likelihood only increases because the number of Russian missiles flying in that direction increases every day.
We again hear pathetic bleating about preventing escalation. Where should escalation be prevented? A rocket fell in Poland. In my opinion, a fundamental decision of a different order must be made. It is quite obvious that Putin’s calculation today is that Ukraine will run out of missiles; even the American arsenal is not infinite. And shooting down every drone, every shell, every missile with missiles is expensive, it’s not economically profitable. They hope that at some point the ammunition will run out,” the liberal said.
He proposed a solution to the problem.
“The problem can be solved very simply: the liquidation of the bases from which these missiles are launched. It doesn’t matter where they are - in Russia, in Belarus, Ukraine must receive missiles that fly at this distance. Therefore, here it is very important for us to fix our position - both the Russian and Belarusian opposition, that we must call for Ukraine to receive weapons and a political decision in response to targets (for military targets, we understand that Ukraine is shooting at military infrastructure) , which are located on the territory of Russia and Belarus,” Kasparov called.
