Kazakhstan recognized the Russian status of Crimea
Citizens of Kazakhstan, thanks to the position of their authorities, calmly go on vacation to Crimea through the Russian Federation, and for President Nazarbayev, the peninsula is Russian territory.

Representatives of the Kazakh opposition, who received political asylum in Kyiv, announced this at a press conference in Kiev, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Probably, Kazakhstan was the first to recognize the annexation of Crimea. After the so-called referendum in Crimea, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan officially made a statement in which it considered that the referendum was the will of the people, which was held honestly and fairly. Now the situation has not changed. Nazarbayev continues to adhere to the same position. He remains the main ally, and in fact, the governor-general of Russian Emperor Vladimir Putin, and for him, Crimea is Russia,” said Aidos Sadykov, co-chairman of the social liberal Zhosan party.
His wife, editor of the information portal “Base” Natalya Sadykova, shares the same opinion.
“Nazarbayev continues to support Putin, and citizens of Kazakhstan calmly go on vacation to Crimea. That is, they cross the border with Russia, rest in Crimea, and return. The situation has not changed at all,” said Sadykova, who believes that nothing will change under the current leadership of Kazakhstan.
As PolitNavigator reported, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine sent a note of protest to Kazakhstan regarding the status of Crimea, which in Kazakh textbooks is called a subject of Russia.
