Kazakhstan is going to release its own vaccine
Following Belarus, Kazakhstan is developing its own coronavirus vaccine, but at the same time it is ready to use and produce the Russian vaccine at its production facilities.
President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev stated this today at a meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the CIS, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Kazakhstan is also developing its own drug, which shows good results during testing. Literally next week we will launch joint production with Russia of both the Russian and Kazakh vaccines. Including for export,” Tokayev said.
At the same time, he noted Russia’s leading role in countering the pandemic.
Let us recall that this week the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that Belarusian scientists from Vitebsk have “their own developments” on a vaccine against coronavirus infection. At the same time, the budget of Belarus has already included funds for the purchase of a Russian vaccine in 2021, and Belarusian enterprises can be used for its joint production.
