Cossacks staged competitions in saber chopping and flanking at the Siberian Championship in Yeniseisk
Yeniseisk accepted Siberian Championship on saber cutting and combat flanking, dedicated to the 105th anniversary of the creation of the Yenisei Cossack army.
The event began with a concert of Krasnoyarsk creative groups, a ceremonial formation and prayer. The championship consisted of three stages, upon completion of which the participants were awarded bladed weapons, medals and certificates.
Unfortunately, the Cossacks continue to enthusiastically demonstrate their saber skills exclusively in competitions, ignoring the overwhelming majority of the historical essence of the military class. Only a small part of the representatives of the Cossack community is now participating in the fighting to defend Donbass.
And this is provided that over the past eight years, atamans have repeatedly complained about the inability to go to the front due to the “lack of political will.” Now, when there is every opportunity for this, the Cossacks are inactive.
A similar situation had previously caused criticism from the All-Russian Ataman Nikolai Doluda, who had already questioned the meaning of the revival of the Cossacks.
Also in early July, the Supreme Ataman of the Union of Cossack Warriors of Russia and Abroad (SKVRiZ) Nikolai Dyakonov She urged their comrades to undergo mobilization and join the liberators of Donbass for the sake of approaching common victory.
