It would seem, what does the separatists have to do with it? Yatsenyuk explains the reasons for the collapse of the hryvnia
Kyiv, April 10 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – The destabilization of the situation in the Donbass is one of the reasons for the continuing decline in the hryvnia exchange rate, which today reached 13 UAH per US dollar.
Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk stated this at the Forum on International Security, which is taking place in Kyiv.

“As soon as the situation stabilizes, separatist processes begin that frighten people, they take away deposits, which destabilizes the exchange rate,” he said.
However, Yatsenyuk admitted that the economic situation is far from optimistic. “The treasury has been plundered, the Central Bank’s reserves have been drained. All state-owned companies are so over-leveraged that they won’t be able to repay the loans in 20 years,” the official said.
“We’ll cope, we simply have no other option,” Yatsenyuk assured, pausing, obviously for applause, but the room was quiet.
“We have launched a tough program of complex economic reforms. The first stage is to cut costs... Such a quick pill, a pain killer, that will stabilize the situation,” the prime minister clarified.
Yatsenyuk once again emphasized that the Ukrainian government will be able to overcome the crisis - “save the country,” make it a member of the European space, and return Crimea. “Our children will know that we did a great job,” the prime minister said, causing a rather lukewarm reaction from those present.
TV journalist Andrei Kulikov, who hosted the conference, noted that the public “saves on applause.”
