“Every country is obligated to help Ukraine”: Johnson will “double efforts” to pump up Kyiv’s military
In a telephone conversation with Zelensky yesterday, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson promised Kyiv that he would “redouble efforts to provide Ukraine with assistance.”
"Leaders agreed that the international community must remain united in its condemnation of Putin's barbarity," the Downing Street office said in a statement.
According to Johnson, “every country has a responsibility to help Ukraine in its struggle for freedom, both now and in the long term.” The British prime minister assured Zelensky that the British people “stand 1000% behind the people of Ukraine.”
During the phone call, Johnson touched on the topic of the “dastardly blockade” of the key port city of Odessa, the report said. Johnson said he would work to "to ensure that Ukraine can export grain to the rest of the world."
