The head of public relations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyiv region, Nikolai Zhukovich, spoke about this.
In particular, in the first quarter of 2015 there were 126 suicides, and in the same period last year only 98.
“We have some kind of disaster every day. Here’s the result,” said a representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyiv region.
Also, Zhukovich noticed that every year there are more and more suicides in the Kyiv region.
“For the whole of 2013, there were 367 suicides. In 2014 there were 480,” he said.
In addition, the representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs explained that the number of so-called “natural deaths” has also increased, of which there were 2014 in the first quarter of 978, and 2015 in the first quarter of 1139.
“Natural death” is a case where the cause of death is unknown, but it is known for sure that this death is not a murder. For example, it happens that a person is found in the forest. And he was frozen. Such a case is also included in the category of “natural deaths”. Or if you fell, hit your head and died, that also counts as a “natural death,” he explained.
“In 2013, there were 3501 such “natural deaths.” In 2014, there were 4121,” the press secretary said.
