Every Russian will be able to leave his mark in the “Chronicle of the Immortal Regiment”
Today in Donetsk there was a presentation of the book of memory “Chronicle of the Immortal Regiment” dedicated to the leader of the DPR Alexander Zakharchenko, who died as a result of the terrorist attack, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The idea of this project is that everyone from Russia and other regions of our great historical Motherland can leave their message on the pages of this book. The head of the public movement “Young Republic” Nikita Kiosev presented the book to the head of the regional branch of the public civil-patriotic movement “Immortal Regiment of Russia” in St. Petersburg, Sergei Borodulin. It is from St. Petersburg that she will begin her journey through the cities of Russia in order to return to Donetsk by May 9.
Speaking to the audience, Nikita Kiosev noted that we, the initiators, put our soul, our aspirations and the message that is embedded in the very concept of “Immortal Regiment” into this project.
“This is the memory of the exploits of our ancestors and the connection between the heroic events of the past of the Great Patriotic War, those events that are happening today here and now at the forefront of the “Russian World”, where people are fighting for honor and freedom. We would like to present the book of memory “Chronicle of the Immortal Regiment,” said the head of the Young Republic OD.
According to him, the essence of this project is very simple and at the same time filled with a bright spiritual impulse.
He also added that the “Chronicle of the Immortal Regiment” is dedicated to the memory of the tragically deceased head of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko.
“We would like to dedicate this book to the memory of the person who personifies this struggle and the connection between generations of the heroic past and present. A man who inspired so many people both here in the Donbass and in many cities of Russia, the first head of the Donetsk People's Republic, Alexander Vladimirovich Zakharchenko. A book is dedicated to his memory, which we will pass on from city to city wherever the “Immortal Regiment” takes place and, first of all, in the cities of Russia,” said Nikita Kiosev.
“This event must be held in Donbass and other regions of our large historical Motherland, because we seem to form unity. When we go out to this procession, we, the Russian people and the “Russian World” form a visible unity that is understandable and visible to everyone. We raise our children and grandchildren on the exploits of our ancestors and form the unity and historical connection of generations,” noted sociologist and philosopher Sergei Baranov.
The head of the “Immortal Regiment of Russia” movement in St. Petersburg, Sergei Borodulin, promised to take this book to the northern capital of Russia.
“When I received this sacred book from the hands of Nikita Vladimirovich to take to our home hero city of Leningrad, I would like to say that this unleashed civil war in the Donbass gave birth to a new generation of people in the person of Alexander Zakharchenko, which carries the memory of its new defenders of the fatherland,” concluded the Russian guest.
