Orwell's classic line: "All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others." From the wonderful "Animal Farm", in case you didn't know. But I'm sure you knew.

This phrase came to my mind when the news flashed “Ukraine excluded Ekaterina Varnava from the “black list”. Well, news and news, right? Well, Barnabas and Barnabas, right? (If anyone didn’t know, you may not know, this is not Orwell, but Barnabas - then this is a vulgar big-lipped woman who at first made unfunny jokes in KVN, and now makes even more unfunny jokes in other places).

Meanwhile, this news is interesting. Ukraine did not justify in any way why Varnava was excluded from the black list. She got there because she performed in Crimea. (It would be better, by the way, not to speak. Ew.) But what is this amnesty for? Unknown.

This is what confuses me. If we want, we’ll turn it on, if we don’t want to, we won’t turn it on. Or can some do it more than others? Or is the president a former comedian, that’s why it’s possible? Or do some get discounts and others get a stop?

Ukraine has generally reached a certain state where the car, it seems, although it has been smashed into rubbish, is still rolling. It’s just that he’s rolling down the mountain, downhill. This is sad. No system, no strategy. Previously, there was one idea: Russia is to blame for everything, we must fight against the aggressor country. Now this seems to be there too, but it’s already blurred and unconvincing. So it turns out to be a circus.

However, this circus is bloody. And the clowns there are toothy and armed. After all, the war in Donbass continues, and political prisoners are still in Ukrainian prisons. Many of them got there literally for nothing. And they are not going to be excluded. Unlike Catherine Barnabas.

But she feels quite comfortable. People come to have fun. I'm not going to judge her for that. There is no need to condemn any people at all - they condemn sin, not sinners. It’s only strange guys, the “peacekeepers,” who come up with bloody condemnations. We are humane people.

But still, has Mrs. Varnava ever thought that it’s a little strange to wander around concerts when blood is being shed? Yes, the viewer is waiting - both in Crimea and in Kyiv (although who needs it, really?). And the artist tries to abstract himself from politics. But it doesn’t work out completely, does it?

Therefore, performing for the sake of performing will not bring much joy. It is much more correct - in my humble opinion - to do this for reconciling purposes with a humanistic message. A concert or performance is not for the sake of money, but for the sake of supporting people.

And ideally, I see it would be good to give a concert in Crimea, Kyiv, and Donbass (here it’s a charity concert). Then it will not look like cheerful complicity, but like support for those who find it difficult to be separated from each other.
