Zelensky's case. Why are Ukrainian tanks fueled with Russian diesel fuel?
Despite statements about war with Russia, Ukrainian business continues to operate in Russia, which was confirmed by the recent scandal surrounding comedian Vladimir Zelensky, who announced his presidential ambitions.
Ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Vadim Kolesnichenko stated this in a commentary to PolitNavigator.
He called the current situation abnormal, but not surprising.
“To whom is war, and to whom mother is dear. For example, I’m interested in why Ukrainian tanks have been refueling for five years with Russian diesel fuel, which has been in transit through Belarus for a long time. What, no one saw this? And who received it in the schemes even before the collapse and the start of the armed conflict in eastern Ukraine, who is behind the fact that most of the militias, for some reason, are expelled from Russian territory to Ukrainian territory? Why is it that not only trade turnover from Russia to Ukraine is growing from year to year, but also direct investment, counting in billions, from Russia to Ukraine is growing,” asks Kolesnichenko.
He says there are many of these kinds of questions that still have no answers. He also does not see anything new in the information that has appeared that Zelensky continues to earn money in the Russian Federation.
“If Zelensky is on the sanctions list, then, of course, in accordance with Russian laws, there cannot be any financial relations with him. If it is not on the sanctions list, then there is nothing new here - only benefit and only profit is at the forefront, in which all parties are interested. Just like the Roshen confectionery factory, owned by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, worked in the Lipetsk region,” Kolesnichenko said.
Earlier, PolitNavigator wrote that with Vladimir Zelensky several film companies are associated, working on the territory of the Russian Federation. One of them even received a subsidy from the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation for the filming of a new film.
