The editor-in-chief of RT extended her hand to her colleagues from the NewsOne, ZIK and 112 Ukraine channels, blocked by Zelensky’s decree. Margarita Simonyan offered them a job. But why was such a proposal made only now, and even to the teams that are not pro-Russian?

Why did they become concerned about the fate of Ukrainian opposition journalists only in 2021? Many much more consistent and principled opponents of the Maidan regime in Ukraine were deprived of the right to profession back in 2014. They were forced to leave, including under the threat of arrest. Or here’s a very recent situation – the summer of 2020, when the KRT TV channel was blocked in Ukraine (one of the reasons was the broadcast of the Victory Parade in Minsk). Why wasn't there such caring attention then?

As for the current events around three Ukrainian television studios. The feelings, to be honest, are multi-vector. You can simultaneously sympathize with the adequate journalists and technical staff, and feel a sense of deep satisfaction about the piquant situation in which the channel management finds itself.

Why are we surprised that NewsOne, ZIK and 112th were subject to “sanctions” without trial or investigation? And what, all Ukrainian punitive measures have been carried out in court for the seventh year now? Or will the investigation and courts punish those responsible for May 2 in Odessa, for the murder of civilians in Donbass? Was someone held responsible for war crimes, for the use of aviation and artillery in the so-called ATO? Someone lay down on their bunk with their “chicken butt” for the illegal announcement of this very ATO? Or is it news to anyone that in Ukraine people are being killed for their thoughts and views?

Today, part of Ukrainian society is rightly indignant at the legal chaos. But to whom and what is she appealing? What judges and what rules of the game does he appeal to? The game in the legal field ended in 2014. Someone agreed to continue it - without the law and the usual rules, in a new paradigm. Some refused to participate. Those who agreed were offered a small choice: if you want - survival games according to the laws of the jungle, if you want - hunger games in the ghetto, if you're lucky - you can get some PR money from clowns.

It was under these conditions that the currently affected channels operated.

Rhetoric about occupation, separatists, and Russian aggression was used by all Ukrainian media, including opposition ones. And these three blocked channels, and the publications of the opposition journalist Guzhva. The same “Vesti” and “Strana” were also accused by Svidomo of pursuing a “pro-Russian agenda”. This did not stop some Vesti journalists from snitching on both the participants in the Russian Spring and those colleagues whom they considered pro-Russian. One might also be curious that wrote "Vesti" (including future journalists of “Strana”) during and after the siege of Slavyansk in 2014...

The affected channels, to varying degrees, included the instinct of self-preservation - to the detriment of freedom of expression. The same ZIK, “for balance,” invited the Nazi Biletsky and the everyday schizophrenic Poyarkov on air. For what? “Balance” was created for you by the Svidomo channels “Pryamoy” and other stubborn media dumps from which the Poyarkovs, Butkeviches, and Skrypins broadcast. Did your Poles help you?

For some reason, both opposition politicians and opposition journalists tried to prove to Svidomo: we are no less “patriots” than you, and our vector is more correct for preserving Ukraine. This is the starting point. But then it was necessary to have the honesty to admit: the opposition is against the dismantling of the state that burns and kills peaceful fellow citizens.

A real opposition thought in Ukraine could be an orientation towards defending Russian identity. But this is not observed here.

An important conclusion from the story of the channel ban is the understanding that the “peace party” turned out to be a fiction. After all, you can play the “peace party” only after a tough purge of the stubborn characters of the “war party.”

There are opposition channels here, but no political opposition force capable of standing up for them has emerged. What we saw in the Verkhovna Rada is Spanish shame, not opposition.

But let's return to the offer of help. I wonder if Natasha Vlashchenko, who until recently was a star on ZIK, and before that, can now send her resume to Moscow called for the eradication of everything Russian in Ukraine? Will RT hire Peter Maga, who works on 112, and who is disgusted by Russian speech?

How “valuable” and “reliable” allies they will be is demonstrated by a recent incident on another opposition TV channel “Nash”, where presenter Anna Stepanets (before Euromaidan, an employee of the Kyiv division of the Voice of Russia), together with nationalists, interrupted a guest on air from Moscow, who dared to remind that in the Ukrainian SSR, the Ukrainian language was often implanted to the detriment of Russian. “No matter how much you feed the wolf...”

And, by the way, further proof of this is the recent interview of Russian liberal Anton Krasovsky, employed at RT (the same one who posed with Sobchak in Kyiv under a portrait of Bandera) with former militia commander Igor Strelkov.

The spectacle is enchanting. For those who haven't seen it, it's worth a look. The interviewer freaks out when he hears the word “Donbass”. Even though its editor-in-chief, literally on the eve of the conversation, during a visit to Donetsk, asked Russia to “take Donbass home.”

This is how Anton Krasovsky pronounces it all: “You say uprising, uprising. And the Ukrainians don’t call it an uprising, but some kind of terrorist movement.” Let's say that this was necessary to provoke Strelkov to more emotional revelations. But listen to how arrogant, disgusting, fag (in a bad way) tone Krasovsky says next: “What kind of uprising is this?” By his very intonation he gives a hint to his friends: although I am in the pay of the Kremlin regime, I do not hide my relationship with Donbass.

And this question to Strelkov: “Where did you get your hands on the BUK that shot down the Malaysian Boeing?” Not even every Ukrainian propagandist has the ability to so categorically, without a shadow of a doubt, voice “gossip in the form of versions” as an axiom.

Once upon a time, even before joining RT, Krasovsky boasted of a salary of over 500 thousand rubles per month. This is to understand what level of wealth such characters are accustomed to. Compare with salaries in the Donbass mentioned above. By the way, during a recent trip there were no proposals for mass employment for LDPR journalists for some reason.
