Kerch says goodbye to the victims of the shooting
In Kerch, a farewell ceremony is being held for the victims of the tragedy that occurred last Wednesday at the local polytechnic college.
17 closed coffins containing victims of the mass shooting were displayed in the city's central square.
They will be buried in a common alley, the rest will be buried in other places. One of the dead was a Muslim; his body was carried out without a coffin.
By lunchtime, thousands of Crimeans gathered in the square, coming to see off the victims of the tragedy on their last journey.
Among them are relatives of the victims, college students, ordinary Kerchan residents and residents of other regions.
The head of the republic, Sergei Aksenov, addressed the audience.
“I don’t want to talk, I want to cry. The modern history of Crimea will be divided into two parts: before October 17 and after October 17 in the city of Kerch. Strength to the relatives to survive this tragedy. No matter what we say to you, we will not be able to raise them. But, I am sure that they would all want their loved ones to courageously hold on and live on, so that the goals that they set for themselves would be achieved. We must strengthen ourselves, we must take courage,” said Aksenov.
Let us remind you that on Wednesday morning at the Kerch Polytechnic College an explosion thundered.
