This is reported on the website of the ANO “Unified Transport Directorate”.
“The crossing will be closed for two days due to hurricane winds that can capsize ships. The decision to close the passenger-and-freight line was made jointly with all responsible departments. All passengers and car owners who were waiting in line for the ferry today were warned by traffic police officers and deployed to the nearest cities. Public transport is waiting on the territory of the ferry storage areas,” the message says.
On Saturday afternoon, waiting for the weather conditions to improve, 400 cars stood in line on both sides of the crossing.
“If the weather improves, women with children, WWII veterans, disabled people of categories 1,2 and XNUMX, pregnant women, passengers on a “single ticket”, public transport will be transported to the other side as a priority,” notes the Unified Transport Directorate.
The cargo line along the route “Gelendzhik – port of Kerch”, “Novorossiysk – Feodosia” is also closed until weather conditions improve.
