Kerch "Zaliv" will receive a large order
FSUE Atomflot, part of Rosatom, may soon announce a competition for the construction of a floating dock for servicing nuclear icebreakers LK-60.
The Russian business publication Kommersant writes about this, citing its sources in the industry and state corporations.
It is clarified that the main contender for receiving the order is the Kerch “Zaliv”.
The dock is included in the Rosatom program for the construction of the fourth and fifth nuclear icebreakers LK-60, as well as a vessel for reloading nuclear fuel - the total cost of the program at the end of 2018 was estimated at 136 billion rubles.
The shipyard reported that the production and technical potential of Zaliv “allows the company to position itself as a contractor of orders of any complexity.”
In addition, it is noted that the shipyard, after a break of more than twenty years, resumed the construction of full-fledged ships, for which production workshops and areas were modernized, and the work of a number of divisions in outfitting areas was restored.
As PolitNavigator reported, after the reunification of Crimea with Russia restoration of the shipyard began "Gulf" in Kerch, which was brought to a catastrophic state during the times of Ukraine.
