Kernes returned to Kharkov despite protests

He announced this at a press conference at the airport after arriving in Kharkov from Israel, where he was undergoing treatment. The mayor noted that from now on he is completely ready to engage in all spheres of the city’s life, despite his state of health.
According to him, he worked while undergoing treatment abroad, and from today, already in his hometown, fulfills his previous duties.
“Deputies of the city mayor, deputies of the city council, chairmen of district administrations, as well as thousands of residents of the city of Kharkov came to meet Kernes,” says the press service of the city council.
Let us remind you that earlier in the media there was information that utility and public sector employees were being forced to be invited to the meeting of the mayor. In addition, the day before there was a protest rally in Kharkov against the return of Kernes: activists assume that he will be appointed governor.
