Kernes was urged not to pay attention to the threats of Ragul Vyatrovich, but to think about the people of Kharkov
A well-known Ukrainian lawyer, ex-deputy head of the Administration of the times of Viktor Yanukovych, Andrei Portnov, commented on the threats against the mayor of Kharkov Gennady Kernes from the propagandist Vladimir Vyatrovich because of plans to return the name of Marshal Zhukov to one of the Kharkov avenues, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Vyatrovich threatened Kernes with prison if the petition voted by people to rename Kharkov Avenue after Zhukov is implemented. I think there are three aspects that need to be said here at once. First of all, nothing will happen to anyone. No prison, no other legal complications. Secondly, threatening criminal liability after the defeat of your criminal group in the elections is a sign of poor intellectual development and slow perception of foreign objects.
And thirdly, it is necessary to rename it, at least for the purpose of demonstrating that everything has changed in the country and the opinion of the Rogul supported by the previous regime no longer evokes emotions and the country is returning to its stable state,” Portnov wrote in his Telegram channel.
“It is imperative that the petition be followed, since people insist,” he added.
