US Foreign Secretary John Kerry arrived in Moscow for a two-day visit. The central topic of the negotiations will be Syria and Ukraine.

It is interesting that the American press vied with each other to report that Kerry’s visit is connected with some important proposals from Obama to the Russian side on Syria, which “very upset” the United States and should “reduce the degree of isolation of Russia by the international community.”

This is such an interesting parsley. At his home, Putin once again welcomes the concerned owners of duct tape who have come in large numbers. A paradox, and that’s all.

The American media places the main emphasis on Syrian issues, practically not touching on the topic of Ukraine.

According to preliminary data, Kerry brought to Moscow a new cooperation plan, according to which there should be increased interaction between the air forces of the two countries and the exchange of intelligence on Syria. For this purpose, the United States proposes to set up a joint coordination center on Jordanian territory in order to jointly identify and coordinate targets for airstrikes.

The US plans also include increasing military pressure on the militant groups ISIS and the al-Nusra Front. But not for free. America is very concerned that Russia carries out airstrikes without distinguishing between one or another terrorist group, while for the United States it is very important to see the nuances and understand the varieties of manure.

And in order for US interests to be fully respected, Russia should put pressure on President Assad and order the Syrian Air Force not to bother “moderate terrorists.” Otherwise, there will be no democracy, pluralism of opinions and choice from two or more candidates for the Complete Happiness of Syria. But if the Syrian Air Force really wants to fly, then there are humanitarian, medical and rescue missions, and let them not deny themselves anything.

Thus, the US is actually offering an exchange. The Syrian affiliate of al-Qaeda, known as the al-Nusra Front, tirelessly declares that the goal of its struggle is to overthrow the regime of Bashar al-Assad. The United States agrees together (if Russia joins their plan) to bomb the Basmachi from this group into dust, but for this Russia undertakes to leave alone the terrorists from other anti-Assad groups supported by the United States.

Otherwise, if the Russian Aerospace Forces continue to work on barmaley in the same spirit, the United States risks losing all potential for pressure or removal of Assad in the future.

Interestingly, at the end of June Kerry spoke in Aspen, Colorado, and there was a curious twist in his speech that remained almost unnoticed then, but with a visit to Moscow, more and more attention began to be paid to him in the American media.

Thus, Kerry called extremists from the Jaysh al-Islam and Ahrar al-Sham movements “terrorist subgroups,” mentioning that they “sometimes act together with ISIS and the al-Nusra Front.” Previously, Washington made great efforts to convince the Russian and Syrian sides not to consider these groups as terrorists, but as legal anti-Assad opposition and participants in the political process.

Now, certain US military-political circles, aimed exclusively at overthrowing the legitimate Syrian government, felt that they could lose their “wards” not just from Russian airstrikes, but also with the blessing of the Obama administration.

By the way, before Kerry’s plane had even taken off and headed for Moscow, comments from the “hawks” started pouring in in droves.

They unanimously suggest that Russia should be suspected in advance of foul play and setting traps for American policy in Syria. As evidence, their sources claim that in June Russia attacked Pentagon-trained and supported forces in southern Syria, near the Jordanian border, even after the US contacted the Russian side to let them know who they were targeting.

In addition, in May there was an alleged agreement between Russia and the United States on a ceasefire in Aleppo. Much to the chagrin of American hawks, last weekend the Syrian army, with Russian air support, established control over the Castello Highway, one of the key corridors for “moderate terrorists” leading from Aleppo.

In general, Kerry’s plan and the “hawks” plan are distinguished by a rather significant detail. For the sake of preserving American influence in Syria, Kerry (with Obama’s knowledge) is ready to surrender the al-Nusra Front and a couple of smaller groups, bargaining for immunity for other undefeated terrorist bedbugs, plus the ability to control the choice of targets of the Russian Aerospace Forces.

While the “hawks” simply propose to say to hell with any plans and leave everything as it is, continuing to put pressure on Russia and slip in acceptable bearded thugs as “moderate rebels,” opposition and participants in the political process.

What makes their positions similar is the continuation of the course to overthrow the Assad regime, except that in Kerry’s plan this is not emphasized and is based on indirect actions.

Most likely, with such intensity of passions, there is no need to expect breakthroughs on Ukrainian issues. Russia will continue to be demanded to implement Minsk-2, since Poroshenko, breathing in fumes, has already reported 95% of the “implementation” of the agreements on his part.
