“Today, through the hands of the Ukrainian parliament, the Istanbul Patriarch was given a “bribe” for his participation in the presidential campaign. Was transferred Ukrainian historical memory – St. Andrew's Church. In accordance with the law, I, Vadim Novinsky, Nestor Shufrich and Mikhail Dobkin registered a draft resolution that stopped the parliament's decision by pressing a button.
We showed this decision to Speaker Andrey Parubiy. But then, within the walls of parliament, for the first time, a dirty violation of the law occurred - officials refused to post our already registered resolution 9208-p “On the cancellation of the decision of the Rada” on the website, although it had already been registered before it.

Speaker of Parliament Andrei Parubiy signed the resolution “On the transfer of St. Andrew’s Church” despite the fact that it was stopped by our registered resolution.

We will officially hand over to law enforcement agencies and will ensure that officials who violated the law are punished. You can’t destroy Ukrainian parliamentarism like that.

In addition, we introduced another bill. If the authorities really want to thank the Istanbul Patriarch, then for the purpose of his comfortable stay of this person in Ukraine, we registered a draft law and proposed to transfer to him the presidential administration building on Bankova Street right up to March 31, 2019. I ask the regulatory committee to consider our resolution, and the audience to vote,” Vilkul said.

In response to this, the angry Andrei Parubiy demanded that Vilkul and his colleagues go to church and repent for their words, or even better, go to Mount Athos and cast out demons from themselves.

“Colleagues, this is a humiliation of the feelings of our believers. When I said that they were going crazy, go to church and confess. How dare you speak here from a high Ukrainian rostrum with words of disrespect for the Ecumenical Patriarch? This is Gundyaevism and once again demonstrates that this is a KGBist sect. Let me remind you, I never spoke about this from the podium, because I believe that religious issues should not be touched upon, that Gundyaev’s priests killed Ukrainian captured soldiers with their own hands. The first groups of them hid in your Gundyaev shelters, killing Ukrainian citizens, like Strelkov’s DRG. They killed people, and then with their hands full of blood, they went to their shelters. This is not the Church. Today Ukraine is finally returning to its Church, today we pay respect to the Ecumenical Patriarch. Don’t you dare say such things from the rostrum about one of the holiest Orthodox Christians and offend the feelings of Orthodox believers. Go to church and repent. Go to Mount Athos and drive the demon out of yourself,” said Parubiy.
