The news from Khabarovsk, where rallies in support of ex-governor Sergei Furgal thundered—and are still thundering—comes in different ways. Sometimes optimistic, sometimes anxious. It depends on who you are for. Either they will tell us that the protests are growing, or, on the contrary, they will subside. One thing is certain – things will still boil in Khabarovsk.

In addition, the newly appointed acting governor Mikhail Degtyarev has already distinguished himself by calling the people a crowd and not coming out to them. Meanwhile, it is already worth drawing intermediate conclusions.

First, let's talk about how to make a career correctly. Mikhail Degtyarev is, of course, not an ordinary guy from a respectable family, but! At first, he hung around the youth formations of United Russia, and then joined the party in power itself - but soon disappeared into the LDPR. Why? Yes, because I understood: in United Russia all the nice places are booked long in advance. Consequently, if you are not the simplest person and want to make a career as a statesman, then the path for you is not to join the party in power, but to the coordinated, let’s say, opposition.

What's going on in the LDPR itself? Its leader, Vladimir Zhirinovsky, reports that he reached an agreement with Furgal - and he was about to sign his resignation of his own free will. But they hurried with the special operation and took the ex-governor on other matters.

It is obvious that Vladimir Volfovich is playing with power. He demonstrates some influence. Like, he is able to decide. And then the Kremlin makes what is called a humpbacked move - that is, a horse - and sends fellow party member Furgal to the Khabarovsk Territory. And he may well fail there. There is every reason for this. And then all Zhirinovsky’s trump cards may fall out of his sleeve - and his party will receive a significant reputational blow before the elections.

So? Maybe. However, let's take this into account. Don’t you think, we all, in general, that multi-party games are only for Moscow, in fact? And there is no party solidarity, no program, and the system itself has largely outlived its usefulness. That is, there is a party in power, yes, but the rest are beginning to look more and more like a branded market where they sell places. Or I'm wrong?

What I am sure of is that the people in Khabarovsk have and will marry not Furgal, of course, but as if they were one of their own, someone who knows. Even if it’s of the Bandyukov type. People are tired of being sent “peppers” from Moscow to their regions, who, as we regularly see, do not know the local specifics. Regions and territories do not need managers - they need such strong guys, I would say, kind of governor-generals, who can resolve any issues.

And it is precisely on regional specifics that managers fall short. Of course, our foreign policy is at the same level, but isn’t it time to somewhat deepen – hello to Gorbachev – our approach to specific domestic issues? Isn’t it time to look for people in the places where they will manage and operate? The tactics we have today - we send them out to different regions from the center - are working worse and worse. It's time to change.

And yes, they are chatting about separatist sentiments in the Khabarovsk Territory. This chatterology is undoubtedly exaggerated. However, in such stories it is always worth thinking about this. We have already gone through “Muscovites ate our lard.” Timber, furs, oil, gas are wonderful, but they still need to be realized. And the problem here is not that there are no implementation mechanisms in Russia - they exist. The problem is that the sellers cut off too much fat for themselves and charge too high interest rates.

And when this moment is reconsidered, when the specifics of the regions are not only taken into account, but also begin to be respected, then, believe me, people will not marry any vans. There will be no reason. And separating is a disadvantage. And who will give it? The Khabarovsk residents themselves, first of all, will not give it.
