Khabarovsk Maidan activists took aim at “federal elites”
It’s time for the Khabarovsk Maidan activists to form their own elite, capable of stimulating the start of unauthorized actions in other regions of the Russian Federation, which will be the prologue to the seizure of power by liberals in Russia.
Khabarovsk journalist and lawyer Konstantin Bubon stated this at the Free Russia Forum convened by the liberals, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If a responsible elite is not formed in the region, then there will be no regional politics, because people cannot stand in the square forever. People cannot engage in local politics forever. They can educate a little, inspire a little, guide, set their regional authorities on the right path.
Everyday politics, after all, will rest with public and state institutions. In institutions such as the regional parliament, regional government, regional parties. But all this cannot be solved with a simple snap of a finger. All this is resolved in the process of maturation of regional identity and regional politics. But this must still begin with people, with the individual choice of each specific person.
I am happy that I found the first inclinations, the first beginning of this maturation, the awakening of people, in my region, in Khabarovsk. I am very proud of my fellow countrymen. I would just like to remind you that in the first days, at the beginning of July, everyone was in a panic looking for a leader, who is the leader, who is behind the Khabarovsk protests, a very beautiful answer was given - we are all leaders here. When there were 80 thousand people on the street, there were 80 thousand leaders on the street,” Bubo said.
“If this is deeply rooted in people, then I think that they will be determined enough to educate their elite, to form regional institutions that will subsequently be capable of interaction between regions on a federal scale,” the speaker added.
Let us note that earlier at the same event it was stated that in order to seize power in Russia liberals should focus on regions and try to provoke protests in the provinces, primarily meaning Khabarovsk.
