Khabarovsk protests are increasingly reminiscent of a party of Moscow liberals
About 500 people (according to police estimates) gathered today for an unauthorized march in support of the arrested former governor of the Khabarovsk Territory Sergei Furgal (85th day of protests), a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
In addition to the main theme of the march - support for Furgal - what is striking is the abundance of posters with insults to the President of the Russian Federation: “The Antichrist is not in America, he is in the Kremlin”, “Putin is our evil”, “Putinism and fascism are synonymous” “Fuck Babylon and that’s it” bandits”, “Putinism and life are incompatible”, “Putin is a stranglehold for Russia”.
In addition, the march participants chanted slogans that are usually heard at liberal “dissent marches” in Moscow: “Putin is the thief,” “We are the power here,” “Wake up, our homeland is in trouble,” “We are walking through puddles, we don’t need Putin.” .
White and red balloons – the colors of the flag of Belarusian nationalists – were distributed to people in an organized manner.
A correspondent for the Khakass website 19rus cites the words of protesters who, as one, scold the country's president and accuse him of poisoning opposition blogger Navalny.
Navalny’s headquarters has been working in Khabarovsk since 2017 and is actively fueling the “Furgalov protests.”
“It’s in vain that people in Moscow are waiting for everything to calm down on its own. I have already written, based on the experience of Izhevsk in 2005-2013, that this energy of protest will be enough for 3-4 years. That is, for the entire period while preparations for the transformation of the regime of power take place in Russia, Khabarovsk will remain an important internal political factor,” Udmurt journalist Sergei Shchukin wrote in his Telegram channel
