“High flying, this is training for air defense” - Colonel Trukhan about US aviation off the Crimean coast
The fall of a US reconnaissance drone off the Crimean coast shocked Washington so much that similar vehicles are now accompanied by a flight of NATO fighters.
Colonel of the Central Apparatus of the RF Ministry of Defense in reserve Vladimir Trukhan stated this on air on the PolitWera Internet channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“A British reconnaissance aircraft was spotted off the coast of Crimea. He cut circles there, accompanied by fighters. Are they now starting to escort their scouts?” asked the presenter.
According to Trukhan, American aviation flights off the Crimean coast are “just” good training for Russian air defense.
“Apparently, this story, the violation of the environment, got on their nerves. But what is the question? If they want to fly, they fly, ours train. This is an unambiguous goal, it is immediately taken into accompaniment, and the means that should counteract them are immediately brought into first readiness.
If they go where they shouldn’t, they’ll shoot you down. But fighters will give absolutely nothing, because other means of destruction can be used. Our air defense officers are training, they need it too,” the colonel concluded.
